Tibor Pacific GT fly reel 13-15wt

This is my Tibor Pacific that I bought for a Blue water trip but never really used it. I lent it to a friend who had a GT of about 100lb on it in St Brandons.

The beauty of this reel is its stopping power, ive included a photo of the Gulfstream drag to compare drag size. My friend said the reason he landed the fish was that he stopped it running to the reef and contained it !!!!

It’s loaded with 600 m of 88lb power pro gel spun backing that’s virtually unused, worth £75 . Also it has an unused Royal Wulff Bermuda short 14wt line unused. its is 575 grain on a 55lb plus core fitted with my 50 lb braided loops, the one to the backing is lined with 50lb gel spun which will mean the weak point will be the 50lb front loop so there’s an awful lot of hanging on power but if anything goes then it will be the leader to braided loop that goes so the fish won’t go off with loads of fly line trailing.

The line is £99 with out the loops( its very close to the original Rio leviathan a classic)

There’s a small scuff mark on the reel hopefully I can be seen in the photo’s and the edge of the drag knob has wear from I suspect the neoprene pouch.

This must be the only one for sale in the UK!
